follower
A one-way connection from one person to another, usually for the purpose of monitoring content or activity.
A follower connection is a one-way relationship in which one person selects another person of interest, for the purpose of monitoring any content or activity that the person being followed agrees to share with the public or with followers.
The connection has a direction: one person follows the other. It does not require the followed person to establish an equivalent connection in return.
The material available through the relationship remains subject to what the followed person shares publicly or with followers. The connection does not make unshared private material available.
