laundry in unit
Facilities for washing clothes inside each tenant unit or suite, usually also with clothes drying.
The existence of laundry machines in individual units indicates that tenants have full facilities to wash (and usually to dry) clothes within their own occupied spaces, and do not need to use a shared laundry facility.
The washing facilities are within the occupied unit rather than in a shared laundry room. Drying is usual but is not a mandatory part of every installation.
A common laundry elsewhere in the building does not establish this private unit feature. It can coexist with the in-unit facilities.
