architectural signage
A building summit formed by an advertising feature that belongs to the architectural design.
Signs which are designed as integral parts of a building may count as the top architectural element. In most cases, however, any signage on top of a building is regarded as non-integral and is classified as a tip element.
The sign must be an integral part of the building's design. A sign placed on a roof later or separately is not automatically architectural signage.
Non-integral rooftop signage is generally a tip element. The distinction concerns its relationship to the architecture, even when both kinds of sign stand above the roof.
