A subbarrio is a legal subdivision of a barrio-pueblo or of certain barrios in Puerto Rico.

It is a subminor civil division recognized for geographic and statistical reporting. Only some barrios contain this additional territorial layer.

A barrio is the primary legal subdivision of a municipio. The subbarrio is subordinate to that barrio and has no equivalent geographic class in the United States.
