Ornamental features are architectural or superficial embellishments belonging to a structure, which were added for the sake of aesthetic or stylistic decoration. These include sculptural elements as well as functional elements rendered stylistically. They may be present on the exterior or interior, but they must form an integral part of the structure's design. Decorative objects mounted on the walls or resting on floors or in plazas do not count.

The feature forms part of the architectural design, inside or outside the structure. It can still perform a practical function while receiving decorative treatment.

A separate decorative object placed on a floor, plaza, or wall does not have the required integration. Its proximity to the building is different from being part of the building's ornamental design.
