Charcoal is a dark shade of gray without tint of other colors, approximately halfway between medium gray and black. It occurs as a facade color with steel and painted metal facades.

Charcoal lacks the blue tint of steel gray. Its name does not require a charcoal coating or material. The hex triplet is a comparison sample for a range of similar facade colors, rather than an exact-match requirement.
