themed museum

A thematic museum is a public exhibit space dedicated to collecting and/or displaying materials related to a specific topic. This does not include halls of fine arts, even if they are dedicated to a single artist.

The subject provides a specific organizing theme for collecting or display. The usage covers a topic that does not fit a more general museum category.

A collection of fine art remains within the art-museum meaning even when it is devoted to one artist. A narrow subject alone does not override that exclusion.
