gazebo
An ornamental open-air shelter, usually in a park or garden, with sides that do not fully enclose the interior.
A gazebo is an open-air shelter, usually placed in a park or garden, which is usually symmetrical and contributes to the decoration of the landscape. Gazebos are often used to hold musical bands, orchestras, or singers, and also provide shelter from rain for persons wandering outdoors.
The shelter contributes to the landscape while providing a covered outdoor space. Symmetry is usual without being a necessary shape requirement.
It can accommodate musicians or people seeking shelter from rain. A musical use is possible but is not necessary for a gazebo.
