personal memorial
A site or object dedicated to the memory of a person as an expression of love or caring.
A personal memorial is a site, monument, structure, marker, or other object dedicated to a particular person, usually after that person's death, as an expression of love, caring, friendship, or family ties. Unlike a hero memorial, it does not primarily memorialize that person's deeds.
These are often placed at the site of the memorialized person's birth or death, or on land associated with that person or his or her family.
The person can be commemorated through a personal relationship even without a celebrated public achievement. A tribute primarily recognizing heroic deeds belongs to the separately defined hero memorial.
