theater operator
The franchisee, manager, or chain operator responsible for any cinema, concert space, or other kind of theater.
A theater operator is the individual, group, firm, company, or chain which manages or lends its brand to any show venue, including theaters, cinemas, opera houses, concert spaces, bandshells, auditoriums, or similar performance areas. It does not apply to managers of music clubs and nightclubs.
The operator can manage the venue directly or lend its brand to the operation. The role covers enclosed theaters as well as qualifying open-air performance spaces.
Nightclub operators cover music clubs and nightclubs. A concert program does not by itself move a club into the theater-operator category.
