oil blue

Related terms: dark teal

A near-black blue or dark teal facade color darker than navy, represented by hex triplet 003333.

Oil blue is a very dark shade of teal or blue, darker than navy blue and close to black.

Hex triplet: 003333

Its teal component is included in the shade despite its placement in the blue family. A dark surface need not contain oil to receive this color designation. The hex triplet is a comparison sample for a range of similar facade colors, rather than an exact-match requirement.
