paintball
A designated facility or site for simulated-combat games in which players shoot paint-filled marking projectiles.
A paintball site is a facility or other location especially designated for games of paintball, a combat simulation sport in which players or teams compete in shooting each other with paintballs, commonly gelatin capsules containing colored fill.
The projectile marks a hit with colored fill. Players can compete individually or in teams, and the site is designated for the game rather than being any place where a paintball marker happens to be used.
Laser tag uses infrared signals instead of paint-filled projectiles. The physical marking projectile is the distinction between those simulated-combat activities, rather than the appearance of their courses or whether equipment is rented.
