An ambulance station or emergency medical services center is a place where ambulances, paramedical personnel, and medical equipment are kept ready and mobilized in order to serve the population in case of need. In many places this usage is combined with fire stations.

The station houses and mobilizes the resources used for emergency medical response. It is an operational base rather than solely a telephone dispatch center.

The site can share facilities with a fire station. Combined operation does not remove the ambulance-service function.
