large mammal exhibit
A zoo habitat for housing and displaying large mammals, such as elephants, rhinos, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, etc.
A large mammal exhibit is a zoo enclosure, habitat, or housing facility for any variety or types of large mammals, including elephants, hippopotami, rhinoceroses, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, antelope, wildebeest, wolves, hyenas, tapirs, camels, and other large or medium-sized mammals which generally need an extensive habitat.
Medium-sized mammals are included when they generally need an extensive habitat. The definition is not confined to the largest species in the list.
The exhibit can contain one type of animal or a variety. A region-themed exhibit instead emphasizes geographic origin, and an ecosystem-themed exhibit emphasizes a habitat type.
