language school
A school for learning a new or foreign language or improving existing ability in it, under public, charitable, academic, or commercial management.
A language school is a place where students go to learn a new language or to improve their ability to speak some language that is foreign to them. It can be run by a degree-offering institution, a social or charitable welfare organization (e.g. for immigrants), a governmental agency, or a commercial enterprise.
Both introductory study and improvement of existing foreign-language ability are included. A course need not begin with complete beginners.
The operator can be an educational institution, public agency, charitable body, or business. The language-teaching purpose does not require a particular ownership model.
