role
The specific role a company performs with respect to any object it is connected with.
The company role is the function a company performs. A company typically has a default role, which reflects its normal business activity, but it can be connected to any object (e.g. a building or product) in whichever role it performs with regard to that object.
Company roles are classified in two levels: the basic industry or field of endeavor, and the precise role performed.
A company's usual business activity and its function on one project need not be identical. The role on a particular object follows the work or responsibility it has in that connection.
