wing

A horizontally projecting building section distinguished by narrowness or orientation, excluding separately built later additions.

A wing of a building is a lobe or section which extends horizontally from the rest of the building, and which is geometrically distinguished from other parts by its narrowness or orientation.

If a wing is a later addition, constructed separately after the original structure, then it should be classified as an addition rather than a wing.

The section is distinguished geometrically from the adjoining building. A similar projection built after the original structure was completed has the separate addition meaning.
