stone

A load-bearing structure made from natural stone, including cut pieces or uncut rocks assembled into a supporting frame.

A stone frame is a load-bearing structure or supporting framework composed of naturally occurring stone in some form. It may consist of precision-cut or rough-cut stone pieces, or uncut rocks as found in nature. The stones or stone pieces may be stacked together, usually with mortar, or held in place by formwork and compiled loosely until the mortar holding them dries.

Cut and uncut stone are both included. Precision shaping is not required for the natural-stone material to provide structural support.

The stone must be part of the load-bearing framework. A stone facade covering a steel or concrete frame has a different framing material.
