internal transport system manufacturer

A company which produces transport systems other than elevators and conventional means for use within or between structures.

An internal transport system manufacturer is a company which manufactures or assembles unconventional internal transport systems for use within and among structures. These include systems like gondolas and moving cabins, but not conventional transport machinery such as elevators, escalators, autowalks, paternosters, dumbwaiters, object conveyance systems, or moving ramps.

The system moves people or other users within a structure or between structures through the unconventional arrangements described above. Manufacture and assembly are both included, rather than requiring the supplier to perform only factory production.

The expressly excluded transport types retain their separate meanings. In particular, moving between buildings does not make an ordinary elevator or escalator an internal transport system of this kind; the distinction concerns the machinery, as well as its location.
