new apostolic church

A worship space used for regular services and prayer by a congregation of the New Apostolic Church.

A New Apostolic church is a place for regular services, prayer, and worship in the New Apostolic denomination of the Christian faith. The New Apostolic church organization is a Protestant denomination with a central hierarchy, with an emphasis on preparing for the Second Coming of Christ. Its members view the church as a continuation of the early Christian church, from the first few centuries A.D. It was founded in Germany and is headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, with a large percentage of membership today in Africa and Asia.

This denomination should not be confused with Apostolic churches, which belong to or are related to Pentecostalism.

The New Apostolic Church has an apostolic ministry led by the Chief Apostle together with the Apostles. This specific church organization identifies the affiliation; a general claim to apostolic teaching does not make another Christian congregation New Apostolic.
