sundeck
A site on a roof, terrace, or a building's lot designated for tenants to lie in the sun.
A sundeck is a platform or other outdoor space, either on the ground or on a rooftop or terrace, which is set up for tenants or guests of a building to relax outdoors in the sun.
The outdoor space is set up for tenants or guests to relax in the sun. It can be at ground level or on a roof or terrace, so an elevated position is not required.
A roof deck is defined by regular access to the main or uppermost roof. It can also be a sundeck when arranged for sunbathing, while an accessible roof alone does not establish that particular recreational use.
