stack of units

A group of related building units, often vertically aligned and sharing a floor plan or pricing scheme.

A stack of units is a group of units with some particular relation to each other, most often a common floor plan or pricing scheme. This can also be called a tier; in some buildings these are named individually.

The grouping follows a relationship among the units, such as matching layouts or a common pricing scheme. A vertical arrangement is common, but the relationship is not limited to physical stacking.

A tier can have its own name within the building. It groups multiple units rather than describing the interior of one apartment or room.
