What determines the sequence of images?

For any building on SKYDB, the images are arranged according to their ratings and their view categories. The first image in the sequence is generally called the "key image" - this represents the building in scopes, pop-up windows, and as the largest image on the object page.

The key image should be a full exterior view whenever possible, so that view category is prioritized over all others. After that, images are sorted by rating, as determined by registered users who vote on their photographic quality using a 10-star scale. An image may be prioritized if it has more overall votes, even if its score is lower than another's.

By helping to rate other people's images, you can improve the sort order and boost better photos towards the head of the sequence. To maintain fairness, please vote on the quality of the image itself, not the quality of the subject matter seen in the photo.
