How is the SKYDB API versioned?
The major version is part of the path, /api/v1/; breaking changes ship as a new major version, and new fields can appear within v1.
The major version is part of the path: every endpoint begins with /api/v1/. Breaking changes ship as a new major version. Each response states its version as api_version in the meta object. The API reference always describes version 1 as it runs today.
New fields can appear within version 1 at any time. Write your client so that it ignores properties it does not know, and it keeps working when SKYDB adds one.
The OpenAPI 3.0 document is generated from the running code. Generate your client from it, and generate it again when you want to use new fields. If your product depends on a particular field, write to [email protected].
