What are the SKYDB Awards?
The SKYDB Awards are an annual selection of new tall buildings, with results dating to 1999.
The SKYDB Awards recognize the best new skyscrapers worldwide through an annual selection. The published records begins in 1999 with Burj Al Arab. From 2000 onward, each decided year has a first, second and third place.
The current process consists of member nominations followed by a vote. Any SKYDB member may nominate one eligible building per award year. Members who have added at least 100 buildings to the database may vote, with up to three votes each. The selection process explains the stages and deadlines.
There is no entry fee. Candidates are drawn from SKYDB records and must be nominated during the published nomination period to reach the ballot. The award pages list past results and provide access to each building's record.
