An engineering firm specializing in water or liquid-chemical distribution systems within a structure.

Engineering firms which specialize in water and/or liquid chemical distribution systems, including pipes, tanks, valves, drains, and pumps. Often this is handled by the MEP engineer.

The engineering concerns the system that distributes water or liquid chemicals. Pipes, tanks, valves, drains, and pumps are included components, rather than separate requirements that every project contain all of them.

Sanitary engineering is identified by sanitary functions such as drainage, waste disposal, and cleaning. A plumbing contractor assembles and installs the system, while the engineering firm provides its technical design.
