railing fabricator

A manufacturer of protective or restrictive fence-like barriers that are installed permanently.

A railing fabricator is a company which manufactures or assembles protective or restrictive railings, used as guides or barriers mainly to keep people, animals, or vehicles from accidentally or deliberately crossing. A railing is generally a permanent installation, unlike a temporary fence or some other barriers.

Railings can be made of metal (often steel, iron, or aluminum), wood, bamboo, stone, concrete, or other materials. The most common form is an open lattice, but they can also be a small wall, or a lattice with infill panels - especially glass.

They are commonly installed at the edges of stairways, bridges, riverwalks, balconies, terraces, roof decks, and railway platforms as a protective measure. They can also be decorative, or used for pedestrian traffic management (e.g. as an aid in forming queues).
