Tables and seating available for restaurant-style eating outdoors, often on a seasonal basis.
Outdoor dining refers to the availability of restaurant-style seating facilities in an outdoor area, usually on the sidewalk or an open space adjacent to the structure. This feature can be applied to places which only offer outdoor dining during warm weather, even if the availability is removed in less temperate seasons. It is generally applied to places with restaurants, cafes, or similar usages.
An outdoor dining area should be applied to the structure where its affiliated restaurant is, not necessarily the structure it is closest to.
The defining arrangement is restaurant-style seating in the open air, associated with the food service. A sundeck provides space to relax in the sun, while outdoor dining provides seating for eating. Seasonal removal of the tables does not change the recurring outdoor-dining provision described above.
