podium roof height

The elevation above base level at the point where a tower rises distinctly from a much wider and lower enclosure.

The podium roof height for any tall building is the vertical distance from its base to the lower roofline where the tower-like portion of the structure rises distinctly from a much wider podium. A podium is generally a low-rise enclosure that forms an integral part of one or more tall buildings, and often holds distinct usages from the tower(s) rising above it - such as parking, retail, tenant amenities, etc.

The measurement runs from the base of the structure, the level of the lowest significant open-air pedestrian entrance. A building on a slope therefore has one height rather than one per side, and a figure taken from the low side of the same building is a different number.

Two sources giving different heights for one building have usually measured from different levels rather than measured badly.
