athletics
A venue for sports demonstrating individual speed, strength, or agility without games.
An athletics venue is a place for individual sports, paired performances, relays, and related formats which are generally pure demonstrations of agility, coordination, speed, or strength, without being games.
The sporting performance demonstrates physical ability without the format of a game against an opponent. Paired performances and relays are allowed, so participation by several people does not make every such activity a team game.
Individual contests concern athletic games with direct opposition between players. The distinction depends on the format of the sport, not simply on the number of competitors at the venue.
