Silver is a light but not excessively pale shade of gray, and is the most typical shade for many common metals, especially aluminum, stainless steel, zinc, silver, and titanium. Although the name of the color may suggest shininess, it may also be applied to rough materials with a similar color, including unpainted concrete as well as various forms of marble and granite.
