concrete slab
A roof covering with a continuous, exposed concrete surface formed from precast or cast-in-place concrete.
Concrete slab roofing refers to any roof with a continuous bare concrete surface. It can be either precast concrete or cast-in-place concrete. Usually this material serves a structural function, and does not coat or conceal any roofing substructure.
The concrete itself remains the bare outer surface. It can also carry structural loads, so a separate roof-covering layer over a structural deck is not required.
Concrete tiles form a covering of smaller individual units. A concrete roof deck concealed beneath another material is described by that outer covering rather than by an exposed concrete slab surface.
