futsal
An indoor playing facility for five-a-side futsal, with two goals and no sideboards.
Futsal is a soccer-like game played indoors without sideboards between teams of 5 players each.
The playing area has two goals and boundary lines. In indoor soccer, sideboards can return the ball to play; futsal uses touchlines and goal lines, with the ball out of play when it crosses them.
The indoor court can occupy a hall used for other sports. Shared premises do not remove its futsal function when the court is equipped for that game. International competition dimensions describe one regulated form of the court, rather than every indoor facility used for futsal.
