A contractor that installs combinations of mechanical systems, including heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.

A mechanical systems installation company is a contractor responsible for installing any combination of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, air quality, ventilation, or energy systems.

The work combines installation of building systems from the range identified above. The definition does not require every listed system to be included in a particular contractor's assignment.

Heating installation is expressly limited to heating alone. The mechanical systems role describes the broader combination, while manufacturing the equipment remains a separate activity from installing it.
