A heating installation company is a contractor responsible exclusively for installing heating systems in a structure. If the company also installs mechanical systems like cooling and ventilation, then its role becomes mechanical systems installation.

The contractor's installation assignment is confined to heating. That exclusive assignment distinguishes this role from a contract that also includes other mechanical systems.

A heating system fabricator manufactures the heating equipment. Installation concerns fitting the system in the structure; combined work on cooling or ventilation has the broader mechanical systems installation scope.
