design competition winner
A building or plan whose architectural design was selected as the winner of a competition with multiple entries.
A design competition winner is a building or plan whose architectural design is the result of a multi-entry competition.
The selected design arose from a competition among alternatives. The distinction can apply to the plan before the resulting building has been completed.
An unsuccessful competition entry was not selected for development. The winning project instead proceeds through its applicable stages of planning, construction, or existence.
