amusement ride manufacturer
A company that manufactures amusement ride structures or their parts for recreational use.
An amusement ride manufacturer is a company which manufactures ride structures for amusement parks, carnivals, and other recreational purposes. These include rides such as ferris wheels, roller coasters, observation rides, and many others. The manufacturer may or may not be the company which assembles the rides on site; it may only deliver the unassembled parts of the ride.
The product is the ride structure, whether delivered as an assembled unit or as parts intended for assembly. The company can therefore manufacture a ride without carrying out its erection at the amusement park or other site.
The recreational ride function distinguishes these products from equipment made to move people through an ordinary building. An elevator manufacturer, for example, supplies elevator hardware; vertical movement alone does not make that hardware an amusement ride.
