An animal crematorium is a place where dead animals, especially domestic animals like pets, are burnt and turned into ashes for burial, scattering, or other final placement.

The animals need not be pets, although domestic animals are especially common within the stated scope. The activity is cremation of their bodies.

A place that only keeps or scatters ashes does not perform cremation. This animal-specific use is classified separately from the general crematorium entry.
