grand entrance hall

A lobby with premium finishes and a ceiling at least two floor levels high, usually with a reception desk.

A grand entrance hall is a luxury or high-end lobby, with premium finishings, normally a reception desk, and a high ceiling at least two floor levels high.

Both the premium finish and the minimum two-floor height are part of this lobby definition. A reception desk is normal but is not stated as a requirement for every entrance hall.

A atrium has a separate minimum height of five floor levels and need not be an entrance lobby. A skylobby is identified by an upper-floor elevator transfer function.
