facade scaffolding removal begins

Dismantling begins on a temporary support structure for workers over at least part of the facade.

Facade scaffolding removal begins when the first pipes, tubes, bamboo sticks, or other elements of scaffolding are removed from the exterior of a building or structure, having served their purpose during maintenance, construction, or replacement work. The scaffolding may have covered all or part of the facade.

This event often accompanies facade renovation, restoration, recladding, or full renovation of the structure. It also is done frequently for routine maintenance.

The first dismantled scaffolding elements mark this event; the scaffold need not have covered the whole facade. Removal ends when its last elements are removed, which is a separate milestone from the first dismantling work.
