mass media
Specialized workspaces for producing, managing, recording, or broadcasting material for mass communication.
Mass media space is a specialized kind of workspace where artists and media companies manage, record, and broadcast their material. This applies especially to recorded and live broadcast media, but can also be applied to any kind of propagated messaging over airwaves, internet, or cable communications.
The work can concern a live broadcast or material recorded for later distribution. A production site is therefore not limited to rooms where a recording is made.
A movie studio and a radio station describe particular media operations. Technical transmission equipment alone has the separate telecommunication purpose.
