A design's planning was stopped, and construction is no longer expected to occur.
A structure is canceled when it has been proposed but never completed, and no plans exist to complete it. This status only applies to projects which were proposed seriously, with some reasonable expectation of realization.
In rare cases, structures which began construction are listed as canceled because construction stopped prematurely, and the incomplete structure was demolished before being topped out.
The proposal originally had a serious prospect of realization, but no plan to complete it remains. A vision differs because it never had that reasonable expectation of construction.
