organic

A load-bearing skeletal frame made from materials harvested from organisms, especially fibrous plants.

An organic frame is a load-bearing skeletal structure composed of materials harvested from living organisms, mainly from highly fibrous plants such as trees and stiff grasses.

The harvested material forms the supporting skeleton. Wood and bamboo are existing materials in this family.

An organic facade material instead concerns the exterior covering. A plant-derived finish does not by itself make the underlying framework organic.
