Erection is completed on a temporary support structure for workers over at least part of the facade.
Facade scaffolding installation ends when the last pipes, tubes, bamboo sticks, or other elements of scaffolding are erected over the exterior of a building or structure, mainly to support workers doing maintenance, construction, or replacement work. The scaffolding may cover all or part of the facade when finished.
This event often accompanies facade renovation, restoration, recladding, or full renovation of the structure. It also is done frequently for routine maintenance.
The last erected elements complete the scaffold installation, which can cover part or all of the facade. Completion of scaffolding does not by itself complete the maintenance or renovation for which the scaffold was erected.
