A single contiguous piece of land which is bought, sold, or owned as a unit.
A land parcel is a single lot or piece of land property, which is owned as a unit by one or multiple common owners. In the context of a city it is unlikely to exceed the confines of a block. A land parcel may contain any number of structures.
One person or several common owners can hold the parcel as a single property unit. A change in the number of buildings on it does not by itself divide that land unit.
A block is bounded by streets and can contain several parcels. The parcel instead follows the extent of the individual land holding.
