fitness equipment store

A fitness equipment store is a retail space devoted to the sale of equipment used in general exercise or training in athletics or weightlifting. Merchandise generally includes treadmills, stair climbers, weightlifting machines, free weights, and mats.

The products are equipment used to exercise or train, including machines and simpler items such as free weights or mats. Their sale is the retail activity described here.

A place where customers use exercise equipment for training has an exercise use. The equipment store supplies those products for purchase; its retail function does not require an exercise facility for customers.
