country club
A club house belonging to a private recreational club, usually featuring a golf course.
A country club house is a social gathering place used by a private recreational club for dining, meetings, and relaxation. Normally it is located on a large pastoral ground featuring a variety of outdoor recreation, especially golf, tennis, and swimming.
The club house provides the private recreational club's social spaces. Dining and meetings can accompany the outdoor recreation on the surrounding grounds.
Golf is a common activity without being the sole defining sport. The clubhouse use is distinct from the golf course, tennis court, or swimming facility itself.
