The process of installing new elevators is completed, and the new elevators are operational.

Elevator replacement in a structure ends when the last elevator being installed in a replacement project becomes operational.

The last replacement elevator must have reached operational condition. The endpoint can concern a project replacing only some elevators in the building.

Elevator replacement begins starts with removal for replacement of at least one cab and its moving machinery. Renovation of a retained cab alone does not form that replacement process.
