art supply store

An art supply store is a retail space whose merchandise consists primarily of products used by artists to create paintings, sculptures, drawings, and other fine art. Products sold may include paints, brushes, pencils, chalk, canvas, paper of various sizes, easels, clay, pigments, chisels, plaster, and masses of materials such as wood, metal, and stone.

The products can be raw materials as well as specialized tools. Clay, wood, metal, and stone can be included alongside paint or paper.

A gallery exhibits and sells or promotes finished creative works. The art supply store provides the goods used to make them.
