The quantity of loaded pallets that a space can accommodate, especially within warehouse racking.
The number of pallet spaces for any object is the quantity of loaded pallets that can be stored there. This applies especially to warehouses that use a pallet racking system.
The quantity expresses storage capacity in loaded pallets. Empty available positions contribute to capacity even when no goods currently occupy them.
The number of pallet positions is different from the number of shelving bays or individual articles on the pallets. A pallet racking system can have several positions within one bay.
